DIY costumes - homemade is best!

Making a Halloween costume 'from scratch' is not
only a lot of fun, it can save you a lot of money.

Peter Pan's shadow:
Isn't this ingenious?  I love it!

Such a sweet Cabbage Patch doll.

The parents of these little Cabbage Patch
cuties took it to the next level:

Audrey Hepburn fans will love this
Breakfast At Tiffany's costume:

Little Red Riding Hood and her trusty Grandma Wolf sidekick:
Talk about a good sport - must have taken a
lot of treats to convince Fido to dress up.

The parents who made this incredible costume
for their wheel-bound son deserve an award:

Almost every kid ends up as a pinata
on Halloween - full of candy!

Sylvester, Tweetie Bird and Grandma:
Brilliant!

Guard your cheese:

World War II posters brought to life - Uncle Sam
and Rosie the Riveter are fairly easy to make.

This is a hilarious idea for a group costume.

These girls are definitely in a League Of Their Own:

But my favorite DIY costume:
So creative and not complicated to make.  This little girl
won't understand how adorable she is until she's grown!

Exercise your imagination and save some money
by creating your own one-of-a-kind costume.

  1. I used to make all my childrens costumes and even for all the comic cons and anima cons. They were helping by then.
    It was such fun.
